LIGHT BULB!

The other day I had an idea!! I really wanted to have a ring bearer and flower girl, they are cute and make for some good pictures! Plus it's the tradition!! I wanted to have cousin Daryn and Rachel's baby Isaac to be the ring bearer, but he can't walk yet, he's pretty young still, and I think it would be a pretty scary thing to put him through. So anyway, back to my great idea, I was thinking about how Dara's little brother Evan was going to be at the wedding anyway, and he is going to be the perfect age of 4!! He has stayed with us before, so he knows Ian and I pretty well, and he even calls me his girlfriend, so it works perfectly. Then, Libby had an idea for the flower girl, back when she lived in Traverse City she babysat for a adorable little girl who is soon to be 4. Her family is also planning on coming to the wedding, so it works quite well :) I will get pictures and put them on the website A.S.A.P.

So there I go!

This ones for the the GUYS!

To all the guys & dads: Here is the news on the tuxes that you have all been waiting for!

We will be renting our tuxes from Mens Warehouse (formally Afterhours Tuxedo). There is a location at the mall in Grand Rapids, and lots others across the country.

Before the end of March try to get over to any Mens Warehouse (find the nearest location at: http://www.mwtux.com/) and get measured. You will need to sign up for their rewards card (free) and then you get $20 off when you pick it up. You need to take $20 with you to reserve the tux.

The wedding is listed under Ian Belanger & Laura Jongsma -- pretty easy. If that is not good enough, our group number is: 1601393.

OOOH LA LA

I know I need to be careful which pictures I post on here so I don't give too much away to Ian, but seeing as I wore it all the way home from the store, I can post this. I went to David's Bridal to buy my veil, and fell in love with this tiara that goes splendidly with my dress. The veil goes all the way down my back, but doesn't photograph well, so use your imagination!! Here is my princess crown, haha

Tux shopping in Orlando with Scottish

Today was alot of fun. Scott and I went to Orlando to set up all the stuff for TUXES. Thank goodness I did not do this on a lunch break, or I may have been fired. Apparently being speedy was not in this man's plan today.

This is the tux for the dads and groomsmen, although its tough to see, it is a light blue color under the jacket--it's called "pool." The jacket is a bit longer than the "usual" jacket--I think it's cool! :)

Scott stole his "bootie" for the shoes he tried on and then wore it on his head as we walked out. I bet we got funny looks. :)

I am glad that I got to go with Scott today. Fun times.

Never thought I could get so excited about some vases!!

When Dara and I were at David's Bridal Thursday buying her dress, we decided to stop at Linens N Things to check for centerpiece vases. The very last aisle I looked at had the vases I have been looking for! Upon further investigation, turns out they are on sale for $9.99/box of 3!! Now I can check that off my list, just have to figure out what exactly I'm going to put in them. I just felt this cheap price deserved a blog.

EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING IT, WHY CAN'T WE?
